Spyker get Ferrari power for 2007.
Spyker have secured an engine agreement with Ferrari for next season. Under the new deal, Ferrari will supply its V8 engines to the Dutch team, as well as the required technical assistance to run them in all races and tests.

“It has been an agonising wait for this decision but I think it reflects the new found stature of our team under the Spyker ownership,” said team boss Colin Kolles. “The most important element for our technical team is that for the first time in many years they have long-term stability which is something which has hurt our design process in recent years. There is a lot of work to do before we get running in early 2007 but we all love a challenge!”
Spyker CEO Victor Muller added: "To reach agreement with the number one name in the Formula One world for over 50 years is a milestone in the history of our company. I am convinced that the co-operation of Spyker MF1 Team with Ferrari and its dedicated staff will bear fruit for the 2007 season. Mike Gascoyne`s input as Chief Technology Officer, effective November 1, 2006, leads me to believe that Spyker will become a serious contender in the F1 seasons to come."
Spyker are currently running the Toyota engines they inherited as part of their Midland team purchase. The Ferrari deal is bad news for Cosworth, who now look unlikely to feature on the 2007 grid.

Formula 1 in China has an unusual problem, according to reports in the China Daily newspaper. People in China want to see the Formula 1 racing but the tickets are so expensive that they cannot afford to buy them. In order to avoid having empty grandstands the circuit has taken to giving away a lot of free tickets in order to ensure that the grandstands are full so that advertisers are happy and the race has the right image.
The problem with this idea is that the free tickets are then being sold on the black market at a cheaper price than the official tickets.
According to the newspaper last year the Chinese racing magazine Formula One Race polled 100 spectators and discovered that 98 of them had bought black market tickets. Only two people had paid the full ticket office.
"We must take serious action against it, or the Formula 1 race will be greatly impaired," says Yu Zhifei, general manager of the Shanghai International Circuit Co Ltd. "It has become a matter of to be or not to be for the race in China."

The car responded very well which means the aero update we have brought here is definitely a good step forward. In addition to this, both tyres we have chosen for this race are good and I think the tyre choice is going to be difficult for us, depending on how we apply our strategy tomorrow and on Sunday.”
Sebastian Vettel, third driver, BMW Sauber (2nd, +0.040s):“The second session was much better than the first, as in this one the track was extremely slippery. The practice sessions for the support races obviously put down rubber and increased the grip, and we also made a clear step forward with the car. Therefore, in the second session the car felt more familiar and the consistency was back. The circuit itself is very complicated, especially the first corner and the hairpin after the straight, however, I feel comfortable. Now we have to see how the track conditions develop.” Anthony Davidson, third driver, Honda (3rd, +0.175s):"It's been quite a good day generally. The rain in the second session made it a bit difficult to work with the tyres but it was the same for everyone out there. Felipe Massa, Ferrari (4th, +1.060s):“There is little to say as this was not a good day for me. I did not go out on track this morning and then in my second run this afternoon, I had a problem with the engine and had to come back to the pits, where our engineers realised the unit would have to be changed. It’s a shame, as the car seemed to be well balanced right from the start and I had been able to do some good times. Of course, dropping ten places on the grid will make my race much tougher but I believe I can still put on a good performance.”
Michael Schumacher, Ferrari (5th, +1.102s):“It’s nice to be in China and I am particularly happy to see the enthusiasm the fans here seem to show for me. Compared to last year, we are much more competitive and we hope to be able to pay back the fans with a better result than back then. The fight with our closest rivals seems to be very tight, even if we have not yet had time to take a close look at all the data. It is difficult to make predictions on tyre performance given today’s weather. I like driving at this track: it is very tough with a big variety of corner types.”
Fernando Alonso, Renault (6th, +1.200s):“We had to adjust our programme a little bit because of the rain in the afternoon session, but we have a good baseline to work from with the car. It felt comfortable to drive straight away, so while we need to fine-tune things overnight, I am quite happy at the moment. This is a track I always enjoy, especially with the good memories from the championship win last year, and even with the V8 engines and the other changes since 2005, it still felt very good to drive today. I think we need to be a bit cautious analysing the times, because the conditions today are quite different to what we expect for the race. So we will wait for tomorrow until we get a final judgement for the tyre performance, but so far the Michelins seem to be working well.”
Franck Montagny, third driver, Super Aguri (7th, +1.739s):“Today was quite a good day from a performance point of view and for a sick man! Well, this morning I was really not happy about the car, more from a tyre point of view, because we had a lot of degradation but I think it was the same last year. We worked quite a bit on car set-up and then this afternoon we did our long runs and tyre comparisons. The car started to be quite okay so I was happy with it and when we started to do performance runs the lap time started to be quite good straight away. It was not an easy day because the temperature changed quite a lot and the track conditions also changed. There was a little bit of rain which made the track a little different again, a bit more slippery, but it was quite good fun.”

Technical Analysis - Grand Prix - China
Another Ferrari strength in China will be the 248 F1's suspension package, which along with improved engine driveability, will greatly assist tyre-wear management - in combination with Bridgestone tyres featuring a low degree of hysteresis. This means the rubber is better able to adapt to variations in asphalt roughness - the lower the hysteresis, the lower the tyre wear and the higher the top speed. Such tyres work well with the 248 F1's suspension, which was revised in the summer to better exploit the tyres' potential performance and to enhance their durability. Front and rear suspension follow the same principle, with a central transverse damper, plus horizontal rotational dampers, coupled with torsion bars (see detail). Not only is this layout extremely compact, it means stiffness settings can be changed extremely quickly - very useful in rapidly determining the best set-up, especially during qualifying.

The Chinese Grand Prix Preview
As the world championship moves out of Europe and to the Far East for the next two rounds, Renault and Ferrari are marshalling all their resources in the battle for the drivers’ and constructors’ crowns.

Having taken a narrow lead in the latter over Renault following Michael Schumacher’s dramatic victory at Monza in the recent Italian Grand Prix, Ferrari have a series of modifications, ranging from engine to aerodynamics, on their 248 F1s, and Felipe Massa will be fully prepared to back up his team leader.
“We are going to these last three races aiming to win,” Schumacher said, and if he wins two of them his overall tally of 92 victories would match the combined totals of Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna. Food for thought.
Renault, however, have also been working hard on their R26. Besides aerodynamic refinements it will have a stronger and more powerful engine than Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella raced at Monza.
Alonso won last year’s race here, but hasn’t won since the Canadian Grand Prix in June. Despite that he says motivation remains strong at Renault. “Well, we have been leading all year, and we want to finish in the same position! Honestly, I think the motivation is greater than ever. These are the last three races for me with this fantastic team, and also the last races for Michelin in this era of Formula One. So our motivation to win is enormous, and I think we can do it.
“Shanghai is one of the circuits that I enjoy. I have fantastic memories from last year, when we won the constructors’ championship there. It has been designed to give overtaking opportunities, especially at the end of the long back straight, and that helps make the races spectacular. I think we can expect an exciting race. But we have been saying all year that you cannot predict what will happen on track, with the competition being so close. Instead, we are focused on our objectives, and that means qualifying at the front and winning the race. That will be the target.”
While these two teams are likely to fight it out for the win, McLaren would like to make it three teams competing for honours. The MP4-21 has been getting stronger recently and Kimi Raikkonen would like to sign off with a win before he quits the team to take over Schumacher’s seat at Ferrari.
Honda, too, as they get closer to their home race in Japan, want to make a good impression. Both teams have aerodynamic modifications and improved engines. Honda in particular are pushing the performance envelope with their RA806E V8, which was tested successfully in Spain last week.
“The Chinese Grand Prix has quickly become one of my favourite races on the calendar and the atmosphere at the race for the last two years has been fantastic,” Jenson Button said. “The circuit is very technical and quite demanding for the drivers but also fun to drive, with the stand-out feature being the length of the corners, particularly turn one which is tough on the neck. We had a good result in Shanghai in 2004 when I finished in P2 behind
“Rubens (Barrichello) and I think that the track will suit our car this year. Our final test of the season in Jerez went well this week and we hope to end the season on a high note with some good performances at the final three races."
BMW Sauber, Toyota, Williams and Red Bull also go armed with modified cars, the former pair still locked in a close fight for fifth place in the constructors’ rankings. Robert Doornbos will take over Christian Klien’s race seat at Red Bull alongside David Coulthard, with GP2 driver Michael Ammermuller called up to perform Doornbos’s Friday test duties. Spyker (nee Midland), meanwhile, are due to run a new orange livery to reflect the team’s change of ownership, and will have another GP2 star, Frenchman Alexandre Premat, in their third car.
Hermann Tilke designed the Shanghai circuit to resemble the Chinese symbol for ‘high’ so it has a mixture of medium-speed corners, long straights and hairpins to achieve this. There are seven left and seven right-hand turns, one of the most demanding being turn one which is entered at maximum speed, but exited in second because the corner tightens up more and more.
The layout demands excellent balance, thus placing a high premium on aerodynamic performance, good stability under braking, and a strong engine for maximum acceleration out of the corners and speed down the two long straights. The longer of these, between Turns 13 and 14, is 1175 metres long. Like Istanbul Park, Tilke’s other recent success story, Shanghai is between 13 and 15 metres wide so it offers some good opportunities for overtaking, another reason why it is very popular with the drivers.
So who will win this weekend? Everything will depend in the first instance on tyre performance, but ultimately it would be no surprise to see another Schumacher versus Alonso classic.

The feature of this circuit has the amusement park in the adjoining and has the hot spring facilities. Therefore, the fan where it stays with the car can sleep after it takes a hotspring bath. Perhaps, it is facilities only in Japan that can be enjoyed. And, free time can be spent in the amusement park.Will you think that it is a wonderful situation?

And, it is possible to run in the circuit by the kart. Of course, it is not possible to run while holding F1 event.

Sumida Tower is a proposed broadcasting tower in Sumida, Tokyo, Japan. If completed as planned, Sumida Tower would be the tallest free-standing tower in the world at 610m (2,001 ft), displacing the CN Tower in Toronto, and would also be the tallest man-made structure in Japan.
The Sumida Tower planning is being led by a group of six terrestrial broadcasters led by public broadcaster NHK, who plan to complete construction of the tower by 2011. The completed structure would be the highlight of a massive commercial development around Oshiage Station.
It is occasionally known as the second Tokyo Tower to distinguish it from the existing Tokyo Tower.

I awaken to overseas music at ten years old.It was fascinated to the beautiful vocal Carpenters. All lyrics of Yesterday were memorized though English had not been learnt at the school yet.But, the meaning of lyrics was not understood. ha ha...And, it came to listen to Rock next. Perhaps, I think that it was Queen.So, I'm ardently listening to a British rock. It also include progressive rock.And, it was a high school student, it find out US southern rock.It was cool and exciting rock received the impact. The history and the culture in the southern were abundantly included, and it was actually felt that it was a root of rock.It was very deep.Especially, favorite listened are "Allman Brothers Band" and "Lynyrd Skynyrd"Lynyrd Skynyrd was a misfortune, the band member has died of the air accident.However, they have a lot of people who know "Free Bird" and "Sweet home Alabama" in the band of the legend. Johnny Van Zant who is the younger brother of dead vocal Ronnie Van Zant succeeds the will, and continues Lynyrd Skynyrd now.Is it 35 years old as more as to know? he he...
